Insert it all the way until it locks in place witha little click. If you can see the red indicator on the upperside of the button, it is not locked completely.CAUTION:• Always install the battery cartridge fully until thered indicator cannot be seen. If not, it mayaccidentally fall out of the tool, causing injury toyou or someone around you.• Do not install the battery cartridge forcibly. If thecartridge does not slide in easily, it is not beinginserted correctly.Battery protection system(Lithium-ion battery with star marking)Fig.2Lithium-ion batteries with a star marking are equippedwith a protection system. This system automatically cutsoff power to the tool to extend battery life.The tool will automatically stop during operation if thetool and/or battery are placed under one of the followingconditions:• Overloaded:The tool is operated in a manner that causesit to draw an abnormally high current.In this situation, slide the slide switch on thetool toward the "O (OFF)" position and stop theapplication that caused the tool to becomeoverloaded. Then slide the slide switch towardthe "I (ON)" position again to restart.If the tool does not start, the battery isoverheated. In this situation, let the batterycool before sliding the slide switch toward the"I (ON)" position again.
