11 ENGLISHChecking the chain brakeCAUTION: Hold the chain saw with bothhands when switching it on. Hold the top handlewith your right hand, the front handle with yourleft. The bar and the chain must not be in contactwith any object.CAUTION: Should the saw chain not stopimmediately when this test is performed, thesaw may not be used under any circumstances.Consult our authorized service center.1. Press the lock-off lever, then pull the switch trig-ger. The saw chain starts immediately.2. Push the front hand guard forwards with the backof your hand. LockedpositionChecking the run-down brakeCAUTION: If the saw chain does not stopwithin two seconds in this test, stop using thechain saw and consult our authorized servicecenter.Run the chain saw then release the switch trigger com-pletely. The saw chain must come to a standstill withintwo seconds.Adjusting the chain lubricationYou can adjust the oil pump feed rate with the adjustingscrew using the universal wrench. The amount of oilcan be adjusted in 3 steps.1► 1. Adjusting screwCarabiner (rope attachment point)You can hang the tool by attaching the rope to the cara-biner. Pull up the carabiner, and then tie it with the rope.Electronic functionThe tool is equipped with the electronic functions foreasy operation.• Soft startThe soft-start function minimizes start-up shock,and makes the tool start smoothly.ASSEMBLYCAUTION: Always be sure that the tool isswitched off and the battery cartridge is removedbefore carrying out any work on the tool.CAUTION: Do not touch the saw chain withbare hands. Always wear gloves when handlingthe saw chain.Removing or installing saw chainCAUTION: The saw chain and the guide barare still hot just after the operation. Let them cooldown enough before carrying out any work onthe tool.CAUTION: Carry out the procedure of install-ing or removing saw chain in a clean place freefrom sawdust and the like.
