7 ENGLISHVibration1. Individuals with poor circulation who areexposed to excessive vibration may experi-ence injury to blood vessels or the nervoussystem. Vibration may cause the followingsymptoms to occur in the fingers, hands orwrists: “Falling asleep” (numbness), tingling,pain, stabbing sensation, alteration of skincolour or of the skin. If any of these symp-toms occur, see a physician! Before using battery cartridge, read allinstructions and cautionary markingson (1) battery charger, (2) battery, and (3)product using battery.2. Do not disassemble battery cartridge.3. If operating time has become excessivelyshorter, stop operating immediately. Itmay result in a risk of overheating, possi-ble burns and even an explosion.4. If electrolyte gets into your eyes, rinsethem out with clear water and seek med-ical attention right away. It may result inloss of your eyesight.5. Do not short the battery cartridge:(1) Do not touch the terminals with anyconductive material.(2) Avoid storing battery cartridge in acontainer with other metal objectssuch as nails, coins, etc.(3) Do not expose battery cartridge towater or rain.A battery short can cause a large currentflow, overheating, possible burns andeven a breakdown.6. Do not incinerate the battery cartridgeeven if it is severely damaged or is com-pletely worn out. The battery cartridgecan explode in a fire.8. Be careful not to drop or strike battery.9. Do not use a damaged battery.10. The contained lithium-ion batteriesare subject to the Dangerous GoodsLegislation requirements.For commercial transports e.g. by thirdparties, forwarding agents, special require-ment on packaging and labeling must beobserved.For preparation of the item being shipped,consulting an expert for hazardous materialis required. Please also observe possiblymore detailed national regulations.Tape or mask off open contacts and pack upthe battery in such a manner that it cannotmove around in the packaging.11. Follow your local regulations relating todisposal of battery.12. Use the batteries only with the productsspecified by Makita. Installing the batteriesto non-compliant products may result in afire, excessive heat, explosion, or leak ofelectrolyte.SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.CAUTION: Only use genuine Makita bat-teries.
