4 ENGLISH23. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bitsetc. in accordance with these instructions, tak-ing into account the working conditions andthe work to be performed. Use of the power toolfor operations different from those intended couldresult in a hazardous situation.Battery tool use and care24. Recharge only with the charger speciied bythe manufacturer. A charger that is suitable forone type of battery pack may create a risk of irewhen used with another battery pack.25. Use power tools only with speciically desig-nated battery packs. Use of any other batterypacks may create a risk of injury and ire.26. When battery pack is not in use, keep it awayfrom other metal objects, like paper clips,coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metalobjects, that can make a connection from oneterminal to another. Shorting the battery termi-nals together may cause burns or a ire.27. Under abusive conditions, liquid may beejected from the battery; avoid contact. If con-tact accidentally occurs, lush with water. Ifliquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medicalhelp. Liquid ejected from the battery may causeirritation or burns.Service28. Have your power tool serviced by a qualiiedrepair person using only identical replacementparts. This will ensure that the safety of the powertool is maintained.29. Follow instruction for lubricating and chang-ing accessories.30. Keep handles dry, clean and free from oil andgrease.CORDLESS HEDGE TRIMMERSAFETY WARNINGS1. Keep all parts of the body away from the cut-ter blade. Do not remove cut material or holdmaterial to be cut when blades are moving.Make sure the switch is off when clearingjammed material. A moment of inattention whileoperating the hedge trimmer may result in seriouspersonal injury.2. Carry the hedge trimmer by the handle withthe cutter blade stopped. When transporting orstoring the hedge trimmer always it the cut -ting device cover. Proper handling of the hedgetrimmer will reduce possible personal injury fromthe cutter blades.3. Hold the power tool by insulated grippingsurfaces only, because the cutter blade maycontact hidden wiring. Cutter blades contactinga "live" wire may make exposed metal parts of thepower tool "live" and could give the operator anelectric shock.4. Do not use the hedge trimmer in the rain or in wetor very damp conditions. The electric motor is notwaterproof.5. First-time users should have an experiencedhedge trimmer user show them how to use thetrimmer.6. The hedge trimmer must not be used by childrenor young persons under 18 years of age. Youngpersons over 16 years of age may be exemptedfrom this restriction if they are undergoing trainingunder the supervision of an expert.7. Use the hedge trimmer only if you are in goodphysical condition. If you are tired, your attentionwill be reduced. Be especially careful at the end ofa working day. Perform all work calmly and care-fully. The user is responsible for all damages tothird parties.8. Never use the trimmer when under the inluenceof alcohol, drugs or medication.9. Work gloves of stout leather are part of the basicequipment of the hedge trimmer and must alwaysbe worn when working with it. Also wear sturdyshoes with anti-skid soles.10. Before starting work check to make sure that thetrimmer is in good and safe working order. Ensureguards are itted properly. The hedge trimmermust not be used unless fully assembled.11. Make sure you have a secure footing before start-ing operation.12. Hold the tool irmly when using the tool.13. Do not operate the tool at no-load unnecessarily.14. Immediately switch off the motor and remove thebattery cartridge if the cutter should come intocontact with a fence or other hard object. Checkthe cutter for damage, and if damaged repairimmediately.15. Before checking the cutter, taking care of faults,or removing material caught in the cutter, alwaysswitch off the trimmer and remove the batterycartridge.16. Switch off the trimmer and remove the batterycartridge before doing any maintenance work.17. When moving the hedge trimmer to another loca-tion, including during work, always remove thebattery cartridge and put the blade cover on thecutter blades. Never carry or transport the trimmerwith the cutter running. Never grasp the cutter withyour hands.18. Clean the hedge trimmer and especially the cut-ter after use, and before putting the trimmer intostorage for extended periods. Lightly oil the cutterand put on the cover. The cover supplied with theunit can be hung on the wall, providing a safe andpractical way to store the hedge trimmer.19. Store the hedge trimmer with the cover on, in a dryroom. Keep it out of reach of children.
