Depress the reversing switch lever from theA side for clockwise rotation or from the B side forcounterclockwise rotation.When the reversing switch lever is in the neutralposition, the switch trigger cannot be pulled.CAUTION:• Always check the direction of rotation beforeoperation.• Use the reversing switch only after the tool comesto a complete stop. Changing the direction ofrotation before the tool stops may damage the tool.• When not operating the tool, always set thereversing switch lever to the neutral position.Speed change1008803To change the speed, first switch off the tool and thenslide the speed change lever to the "2" side for highspeed or "1" side for low speed. Be sure that the speedchange lever is set to the correct position beforeoperation. Use the right speed for your job.CAUTION:• Always set the speed change lever fully to thecorrect position. If you operate the tool with thespeed change lever positioned halfway between the"1" side and "2" side, the tool may be damaged.• Do not use the speed change lever while the toolis running. The tool may be damaged.Adjusting the fastening torque123008804The fastening torque can be adjusted in 18 steps byturning the adjusting ring so that its graduations arealigned with the pointer on the tool body. The fasteningtorque is minimum when the number 1 is aligned withthe pointer, and maximum when the marking isaligned with the pointer.The clutch will slip at various torque levels when set atthe number 1 to 18. The clutch is designed not to slip atthe marking.Before actual operation, drive a trial screw into yourmaterial or a piece of duplicate material to determinewhich torque level is required for a particular application.ASSEMBLYCAUTION:• Always be sure that the tool is switched off and thebattery cartridge is removed before carrying outany work on the tool.Installing or removing driver bit or socket bitTo install the bit, pull the sleeve in the direction of thearrow and insert the bit into the sleeve as far as it will go.Then release the sleeve to secure the bit.1 2008799To remove the bit, pull the sleeve in the direction of thearrow and pull the bit out firmly.NOTE:• If the bit is not inserted deep enough into thesleeve, the sleeve will not return to its originalposition and the bit will not be secured.
