It may be swung 360° so as to be secured atany position.Installing or removing drill bitFor Model HP2050, HP2050F1002694To install the bit, place it in the chuck as far as it will go.Tighten the chuck by hand. Place the chuck key in eachof the three holes and tighten clockwise. Be sure totighten all three chuck holes evenly.To remove the bit, turn the chuck key counterclockwisein just one hole, then loosen the chuck by hand.After using the chuck key, be sure to return to theoriginal position.For Model HP2051, HP2051F12002695Hold the ring and turn the sleeve counterclockwise toopen the chuck jaws. Place the bit in the chuck as far asit will go. Hold the ring firmly and turn the sleeveclockwise to tighten the chuck.To remove the bit, hold the ring and turn the sleevecounterclockwise.Depth gauge1002696The depth gauge is convenient for drilling holes ofuniform depth. Loosen the side grip and insert the depthgauge into the hole in the side grip. Adjust the depthgauge to the desired depth and tighten the side grip.NOTE:• The depth gauge cannot be used at the positionwhere the depth gauge strikes against the toolbody.OPERATIONHammer drilling operationCAUTION:• There is a tremendous and sudden twisting forceexerted on the tool/bit at the time of holebreak-through, when the hole becomes cloggedwith chips and particles, or when strikingreinforcing rods embedded in the concrete. Alwaysuse the side grip (auxiliary handle) and firmly holdthe tool by both side grip and switch handle duringoperations.
