Donot use a power tool while you are tired or underthe influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. Amoment of inattention while operating power toolsmay result in serious personal injury.10. Use safety equipment. Always wear eyeprotection. Safety equipment such as dust mask,non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protectionused for appropriate conditions will reduce personalinjuries.11. Avoid accidental starting. Ensure the switch is inthe off-position before plugging in. Carrying powertools with your finger on the switch or plugging inpower tools that have the switch on invites accidents.12. Remove any adjusting key or wrench beforeturning the power tool on. A wrench or a key leftattached to a rotating part of the power tool may resultin personal injury.13. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing andbalance at all times. This enables better control ofthe power tool in unexpected situations.14. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing orjewellery. Keep your hair, clothing, and glovesaway from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery orlong hair can be caught in moving parts.15. If devices are provided for the connection of dustextraction and collection facilities, ensure theseare connected and properly used. Use of thesedevices can reduce dust-related hazards.Power tool use and care16. Do not force the power tool. Use the correct powertool for your application. The correct power tool willdo the job better and safer at the rate for which it wasdesigned.17. Do not use the power tool if the switch does notturn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot becontrolled with the switch is dangerous and must berepaired.18. Disconnect the plug from the power source and/orthe battery pack from the power tool beforemaking any adjustments, changing accessories,or storing power tools. Such preventive safetymeasures reduce the risk of starting the power toolaccidentally.19. Store idle power tools out of the reach of childrenand do not allow persons unfamiliar with thepower tool or these instructions to operate thepower tool. Power tools are dangerous in the handsof untrained users.20. Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment orbinding of moving parts, breakage of parts andany other condition that may affect the powertools operation. If damaged, have the power toolrepaired before use. Many accidents are caused bypoorly maintained power tools.21. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properlymaintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges areless likely to bind and are easier to control.22. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc.in accordance with these instructions and in themanner intended for the particular type of powertool, taking into account the working conditionsand the work to be performed. Have your power tool serviced by a qualifiedrepair person using only identical replacementparts. This will ensure that the safety of the power toolis maintained.24. Follow instruction for lubricating and changingaccessories.25. Under normal operation, the tool is designed toproduce vibration. The screws can come looseeasily, causing a breakdown or accident. Checktightness of screws carefully before operation.7. In cold weather or when the tool has not beenused for a long time, let the tool warm up for awhile by operating it under no load. This willloosen up the lubrication. Without proper warm-up, hammering operation is difficult.8. Always be sure you have a firm footing. Be sureno one is below when using the tool in highlocations.9. Hold the tool firmly with both hands.10. Keep hands away from moving parts.11. Do not leave the tool running. Operate the toolonly when hand-held.12. Do not point the tool at any one in the area whenoperating. The bit could fly out and injuresomeone seriously.13. Do not touch the bit or parts close to the bitimmediately after operation; they may beextremely hot and could burn your skin. |
