16 ENGLISHLighting the lampCAUTION: Do not look in the light or see thesource of light directly.To turn on the lamp without running the tool, pull theswitch trigger without pressing the lock-off button.To turn on the lamp with the tool running, press and holdthe lock-off button and pull the switch trigger.The lamp goes out 10 seconds after releasing theswitch trigger.► Fig.15: 1. LampNOTE: Use a dry cloth to wipe the dirt off the lens ofthe lamp. Be careful not to scratch the lens of lamp, orit may lower the illumination.NOTE: When the tool is overheated, the lamp blinksfor one minute. In this case, cool down the tool beforeanother operation.HookOptional accessoryCAUTION: Always remove the battery whenhanging the tool with the hook.CAUTION: Never hook the tool at high loca-tions or potentially unstable locations such ason the surfaces. Otherwise the tool may lose thebalance and fall.CAUTION: Do not pull the tool downwardwhen it is hooked.The hook is convenient for hanging the tool temporarily.► Fig.16Attach the hook with the screws as illustrated.► Fig.17: 1. Hex wrenchRemoving or installing circular saw bladeCAUTION: Be sure the circular saw blade isinstalled with teeth pointing up at the front of the tool.CAUTION: Use only the Makita wrench toinstall or remove the circular saw blade.To remove the circular saw blade, press the shaft lockfully so that the circular saw blade cannot revolve anduse the hex wrench to loosen the hex bolt. Arrow on the toolTo install the circular saw blade, follow the removalprocedure in reverse.Align the direction of the arrow on the blade with thearrow on the tool.For tool with the inner flange for otherthan 15.88 mm hole-diameter saw bladeThe inner flange has a certain diameter protrusion onone side of it and a different diameter protrusion on theother side. Choose a correct side on which protrusionfits into the saw blade hole perfectly. Mount the innerflange onto the mounting shaft so that the correct sideof protrusion on the inner flange faces outward and thenplace saw blade and outer flange.► Fig.23: 1. Mounting shaft 2. Inner flange 3. Circularsaw blade 4. Outer flange 5. Hex boltWARNING: BE SURE TO TIGHTEN THE HEXBOLT CLOCKWISE SECURELY. Also be carefulnot to tighten the bolt forcibly. Slipping your handfrom the hex wrench can cause a personal injury.WARNING: Make sure that the protrusion "a"on the inner flange that is positioned outside fits intothe saw blade hole "a" perfectly. Mounting the bladeon the wrong side can result in the dangerous vibration.
