Switch on the tool withoutthe blade making any contact and wait until the bladeattains full speed. Press down the handle and PUSHTHE CARRIAGE TOWARD THE GUIDE FENCE ANDTHROUGH THE WORKPIECE. When the cut is com-pleted, switch off the tool and WAIT UNTIL THE BLADEHAS COME TO A COMPLETE STOP before returningthe blade to its fully elevated position.CAUTION:• Whenever performing the slide cut, FIRST PULL THECARRIAGE TOWARD YOU FULLY and press down thehandle to the fully lowered position, then PUSH THECARRIAGE TOWARD THE GUIDE FENCE.
