Loosen the grip whichsecures the turn base. Turn the turnbase so that the pointer indicates 0" onthe miter scale. Then turn the turn baseslightly clockwise and counterclockwiseto seat the turn base cozily in the 0"miter notch. (Leave as it is if the pointerdoes not indicate O".)
