Donot use solvents or any petroleum-based cleaners onthe plastic guard.If the blade guard is especially dirty and vision throughthe guard is impaired, use the supplied socket wrench toloosen the hex bolt holding the center cover. Loosen thehex bolt by turning it counterclockwise and raise theblade guard and center cover. With the blade guard sopositioned, cleaning can be more completely andefficiently accomplished. When cleaning is complete,reverse procedure above and secure bolt. Do notremove spring holding blade guard.
