Otherwise, it willcontact the blade or a part of the tool, causing possibleserious injury to the operator.Sub-fence R (optional accessory)The sub-fence R can be installed on the right side of theguide fence. Insert the rods of the sub-fence R into the holesin the guide fence. Tighten the screws which come with thesub-fence R to secure the sub-fence R.CAUTION:• When performing right bevel cuts, never use the sub-fence R. It will contact the blade or a part of the tool,causing possible serious injury to the operator.Vertical viseThe vertical vise can be installed in two positions on eitherthe left or right side of the guide fence or the holder assembly(optional accessory). Insert the vise rod into the hole in theguide fence or the holder assembly and tighten the screw tosecure the vise rod.Position the vise arm according to the thickness and shapeof the workpiece and secure the vise arm by tightening thescrew. If the screw to secure the vise arm contacts the guidefence, install the screw on the opposite side of vise arm.Make sure that no part of the tool contacts the vise whenlowering the handle fully and pulling or pushing the carriageall the way. If some part contacts the vise, re-position thevise.Press the workpiece flat against the guide fence and the turnbase. Position the workpiece at the desired cutting positionand secure it firmly by tightening the vise knob.CAUTION:• The workpiece must be secured firmly against the turnbase and guide fence with the vise during all operations.1.
