6Getting To Know Your Scroll SawThis versatile heavy-duty scroll saw is great for making toys,puzzles, games, artwork, and jewelry, and because of its cuttingcapacity, it is a handy do-it-yourself tool. It cuts wood and plastic upto 50 mm thick.1. Blade Storage CaseYour scroll saw is equipped with a blade storage area locatedon the side of the saw. The blade storage area convenientlystores the blade set screws, allen wrenches and both pin andplain end blades. You can open the case with pressing thetop.2. Sawdust BlowerKeeps workpiece clean for more accurate scroll cuts. For bestresults, always direct air flow from blower tube at blade andworkpiece. To adjust, loosen set screw in the foot assembly,position tube and tighten screw.CAUTION: To prevent blower tube from collapsing DO NOTOVERTIGHTEN.3. Sawdust Ejection PortYour scroll saw is equipped with a vacuum hook-up. Thisfeature will allow you to attach any 32 mm vacuum hose intothe hole provided for convenient sawdust removal.4. Hold Down FootThe foot should always be lowered until it just rests on top ofthe workpiece to prevent workpiece from lifting, but not somuch that the workpiece drags.5. Hold Down Foot Adjusting KnobAllows you to raise or lower the foot and lock it at desiredheights.6. Blade Tension LeverAllows you to loosen or tighten the blade tension by rotating thelever.7. Table Lock KnobAllows you to tilt the table and lock it at desired angle up to 45degrees.8. Degree ScaleShows the degree the table is tilted.9. Speed Control Knob/ON-OFF SwitchFor speed control setting, refer to the “Choice of Blade andSpeed” table.
