5FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTIONCAUTION:• Always be sure that the tool is switched off and thebattery cartridge is removed before adjusting orchecking function on the tool.• Always switch off the tool before insertion orremoval of the battery cartridge.Installing or removing battery cartridge12010324• To remove the battery cartridge, withdraw it fromthe tool while pressing the buttons on both sides ofthe cartridge.• To insert the battery cartridge, align the tongue onthe battery cartridge with the groove in the housingand slip it into place. Always insert it all the wayuntil it locks in place with a little click. If not, it mayaccidentally fall out of the tool, causing injury to youor someone around you.• Do not use force when inserting the batterycartridge. If the cartridge does not slide in easily, itis not being inserted correctly.Lock lever12010325When the lock lever is in the locked position , theswitch cannot be actuated.When the lock lever is in the unlocked position , theswitch can be actuated.Switch actionCAUTION:• Before inserting the battery cartridge into the tool,always check to see that the switch actuatesproperly and returns to the "OFF" position whenreleased.12010374To start the tool, first move the lock lever to the unlockedposition to release the switch lever.1AB AB010329And then turn the switch to A side for clockwise rotationor to B side for counterclockwise rotation.Tool speed is increased by increasing rotation force onthe switch. Release the switch to stop.CAUTION:• Always check the direction of rotation beforeoperation.• Change the direction only after the tool comes to acomplete stop.
