Check to make sure that the voltage and frequencyof the power supply correspond to thespecifications given on the identification plate. Werecommend the use of a residual-current-operatedcircuit breaker (ground-fault circuit interrupter) witha tripping current of 30 mA or less, or an earthleakage current protector.10. Work gloves of stout leather are part of the basicequipment of the hedge trimmer and must alwaysbe worn when working with it. Also wear sturdyshoes with anti-skid soles.11. Before starting work check to make sure that thetrimmer is in good and safe working order. Ensureguards are fitted properly. The hedge trimmermust not be used unless fully assembled.12. Make sure you have a secure footing beforestarting operation.13. Hold the tool firmly when using the tool.14. Do not operate the tool at no-load unnecessarily.15. Immediately switch off the motor and remove thebattery cartridge if the cutter should come intocontact with a fence or other hard object. Checkthe cutter for damage, and if damaged repairimmediately.16. Before checking the cutter, taking care of faults, orremoving material caught in the cutter, alwaysswitch off the trimmer and remove the batterycartridge.17. Switch off the trimmer and remove the batterycartridge before doing any maintenance work.18. When moving the hedge trimmer to anotherlocation, including during work, always removethe battery cartridge and put the blade cover onthe cutter blades. Never carry or transport thetrimmer with the cutter running. Never grasp thecutter with your hands.19. Clean the hedge trimmer and especially the cutterafter use, and before putting the trimmer intostorage for extended periods. Lightly oil the cutterand put on the cover. The cover supplied with theunit can be hung on the wall, providing a safe andpractical way to store the hedge trimmer.20. Store the hedge trimmer with the cover on, in adry room. Keep it out of reach of children. Do not short the battery cartridge:(1) Do not touch the terminals with anyconductive material.(2) Avoid storing battery cartridge in acontainer with other metal objects such asnails, coins, etc.(3) Do not expose battery cartridge to wateror rain.A battery short can cause a large current flow,overheating, possible burns and even abreakdown.6. Do not store the tool and battery cartridge inlocations where the temperature may reach orexceed 50 ゚ C (122 ゚ F).7. Do not incinerate the battery cartridge even ifit is severely damaged or is completely wornout. The battery cartridge can explode in a fire.8. Be careful not to drop or strike battery.9. Do not use a damaged battery.SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.Tips for maintaining maximum battery life1. Charge the battery cartridge beforecompletely discharged.Always stop tool operation and charge thebattery cartridge when you notice less toolpower.2. Never recharge a fully charged batterycartridge.Overcharging shortens the battery service life.3. Charge the battery cartridge with roomtemperature at 10 ゚ C - 40 ゚ C (50 ゚ F - 104 ゚ F).Let a hot battery cartridge cool down beforecharging it.4. Charge the battery cartridge once in every sixmonths if you do not use it for a long period oftime. |
