11 ENGLISHSighting for straight cuttingWith the dust collection cover installed, straight cutoperation can safely be performed by aligning the cut-ting wheel toward the cutting direction before the actualcut operation.Align the guide notch in the base of dust collectioncover with your intended cutting line on the workpiece.1323Fig.12► 1. VacuumcleanerAccidental re-start preventivefunctionWhen installing the battery cartridge while pulling theswitch trigger, the tool will not start.To start the tool, release the switch trigger first. Pressand hold the lock-off button, and then pull the switchtrigger.Electronic functionThe tool is equipped with the electronic functions foreasy operation.• Electric brakeThis tool is equipped with an electric brake. If thetool consistently fails to quickly cease to functionafter the switch trigger is released, have the toolserviced at a Makita service center.• Constant speed controlThe speed control function provides the constantrotation speed regardless of load conditions.• Active Feedback sensing TechnologyThe tool electronically detects situations in whichthe cutting wheel may be at risk to be bound.In the situation, the tool automatically stops toprevent further rotation of the spindle (it does notprevent kickback).In this case, release the switch trigger first,remove the cause of sudden drop in the rotationspeed, and then pull the switch trigger to restartthe tool.ASSEMBLYCAUTION: Always be sure that the tool isswitched off and the battery cartridge is removedbefore carrying out any work on the tool.Hex wrench storageWhen not in use, store the hex wrench as shown in thefigure to keep it from being lost.1Fig.14► 1.
