Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Nevermodify the plug in any way. Do not use anyadapter plugs with earthed (grounded) powertools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets willreduce risk of electric shock.2. Avoid body contact with earthed or groundedsurfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges andrefrigerators. There is an increased risk of elec-tric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.3. Do not expose power tools to rain or wet con-ditions. Water entering a power tool will increasethe risk of electric shock.4. Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord forcarrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool.Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edgesor moving parts. Damaged or entangled cordsincrease the risk of electric shock.5. When operating a power tool outdoors, use anextension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use ofa cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk ofelectric shock.6. If operating a power tool in a damp location isunavoidable, use a ground fault circuit inter-rupter (GFCI) protected supply. Use of a GFCIreduces the risk of electric shock.Personal Safety1. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and usecommon sense when operating a power tool.Do not use a power tool while you are tired orunder the influence of drugs, alcohol or med-ication. A moment of inattention while operatingpower tools may result in serious personal injury.2. Use personal protective equipment. Alwayswear eye protection. Protective equipment suchas dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, orhearing protection used for appropriate conditionswill reduce personal injuries.3. Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure theswitch is in the off-position before connectingto power source and/or battery pack, pickingup or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools withyour finger on the switch or energising power toolsthat have the switch on invites accidents.
