Never use any blade exceeding 230mm in outside diameter.CAUTION:• The cutter blade must be well polished, free ofcracks or breakage. Polish or replace the cutterblade every three hours of operation.• Always wear gloves when handling the cutterblade.• Always attach the blade cover when the tool is notin use or is being transported.• The cutter blade-fastening nut (with springwasher) wears out in course of time. If thereappears any wear or deformation on the springwasher, replace the nut. Ask your local authorizedservice center to order it.NOTICE:• Be sure to use genuine Makita cutter blade.Turn the tool upside down so that you can replace thecutter blade easily.123 45014766To dismount the cutter blade, insert the hex wrenchthrough the hole on the protector cover and the gearcase. Rotate the receive washer until it is locked withthe hex wrench. Loosen the hex nut (left-hand thread)with the socket wrench and remove the nut, clampwasher and hex wrench.12014767Mount the cutter blade onto the shaft so that the guide ofthe receive washer fits in the arbor hole in the cutter blade.Install the clamp washer and secure the cutter blade withthe hex nut with 13 to 23 Nm of tightening torque duringholding the receive washer with hex wrench.014768Make sure that the blade is the left way up.Hex wrench storage1014747When not in use, store the hex wrench as shown in thefigure to keep it from being lost.1.
