Connect a Windows PC to the BTS as describedearlier in Configuring a BTS and then run a DOSwindow. On most Windows PCs, you will go to theStart button, look under Programs and thenselect MS-DOS or MS-DOS Prompt .2. Ensure that the BTS and CPE are not on thesame LAN, so they can only communicate via thewireless link.3. In the DOS window ping the CPE IP address setearlier during BTS configuration. For example, ifthe IP address for the CPE is 206.112.23.2, thenenter:>ping 206.112.23.2 RETURN4. If it pings successfully, you have connectivitybetween the PC and the BTS. If it times-out anddoes not ping, ensure you are using the correct IPaddresses and review the configuration data andphysical installation.
