Photographing to conform to purposesDiopter Correction LensesSix types of diopter correcting lenses are available fornear/farsighted people. Mount as indicated above.Powers available are: +3, +2, +1, -1, -2, and -3.+: Far-Sighted-: Near-SightedDepth-of-FieldThe depth-of-field varies according to the aperture. Thesmaller the aperture (f/8, f/11, f/16...) the greater thedepth-of-field; the larger the aperture (f/8, f/5.6,...) thesmaller the depth-of-field. To take pictures which aresharp from foreground to infinity or when takingsnapshots, the focusing range is extended or depthincreased by using a smaller aperture. When the subjectis to stand out, with the background out of focus, a largeraperture is appropriate. The depth-of-field scale on the lens indicatesdepth-of-field in terms of the distance between subjectson both sides of the scale. For example, when a 80mmlens is stopped down to f/22, respectively, all objectslocated within the ranges shown in the illustrations abovewill be sharp.* Refer to the instructions attached to individuallenses for specific depth-of-field tables.34
