28 Part Number 000014141 Rev 08 5/21Installation Section 2When lengthening or shortening lines,follow good refrigeration practices, purgewith nitrogen and insulate all tubing. Donot change the tube sizes. Evacuate thelines and place about 5 oz (145 grams) ofvapor refrigerant charge in each line.1. Remove the dust caps from the lineset, condenser and ice machine.2. Apply refrigeration oil to the threadson the quick-disconnect couplersbefore connecting them to thecondenser.3. Carefully thread the female fitting tothe condenser or ice machine by hand,then tighten the couplings with awrench until they bottom out.4. Turn an additional quarter turn toensure proper brass-to-brass seating.Torque to the following specifications:Liquid Line Discharge Line10 - 12 ft lbs13.5-16.2 N•m35 - 45 ft lbs47.5-61.0 N•m5. Check all fittings and valve caps forleaks and reinstall and tighten caps.6. Interconnecting line voltage wiringis used to energize and de-energizethe condenser fan motor.
