P-SCANIf your television is a high-definition or “digital ready” television, you maytake advantage of the C 717’s progressive scan output for the highest videoresolution possible.To activate Progressive Scan, set first “VIDEO OUT” (see “VIDEO OUT” sectionbelow) to “COMPONENT.”Then, select “ON” at “P-SCAN” menu to activate Progressive Scan output.Select “OFF” to maintain normal Component Video Output.SCREEN SAVERWhen you set “SCREEN SAVER” to “ON”, a screen saver in the form of an NADlogo appears when you leave for about fifteen minutes the C 717’s internalDVD player at Stop or Pause mode. If the Screen Saver continues to bedisplayed for another thirty minutes, the C 717 automatically turns itself off.VIDEO OUTSelect among “COMPONENT” and “RGB” as your preferred video outputmedia. Make sure the appropriate video out of C 717 is connected to thecorresponding video input of your TV/monitor.NOTES• If “RGB” is selected, there is no component video output.• Component video out will only display the internal DVD video signals.DIVX CODEDivX is the name of a revolutionary new video codec which is based on thenew MPEG-4 compression standard for video. You will be able to play DivXdiscs using the C 717’s internal DVD player.
