10Special FunctionsBy pressing A followed by the the appropriate key, (do not press simultaneously) these special functions andfeatures can be enabled:Easy Arm (when system is disarmed)The Easy Arm feature allows the system to be armedpressing A followed by 0. This will allow the easyarming of the system by someone who is not a regularsystem user.Easy Exit (when system is armed)This function (if programmed) allows an occupant to leavethe premises without disarming the system. Pressing Afollowed by 0 while the system is armed will start a 3minute period, during which you can leave through the Exit/Entry door.Bell / Battery TestPressing A followed by 1 will cause the bell, orsiren to sound for 2 seconds. This will also initiate a test ofyour battery to make sure it is adequately charged. TheP400 also performs an automatic battery test very 24 hours.Access OutputIf programmed, pressing A followed by 3 willactivate the Access Output which may be configured to opena door strike, turn on lighting, or activate some other specialfeature your installer has provided.Display System TroublePressing A followed by 4 when TROUBLE H is litwill cause the system to display any current system troubles.Pressing E will exit the Display System Trouble Mode.Chime Mode On / OffPressing A followed by 5 will activate / deactivatethe door chime. Activating this feature will cause any door tobeep the keypad sounder when it is opened.Program ModePressing A followed by 8 will enable the “ProgramMode”, which will allow you to program and erase user codes(see Programming user codes, page 14)Keypad Sounder On / OffPressing A followed by 9 will deactivate / activatethe keypad sounder, depending on its present state. Bydeactivating the sounder on a keypad installed in a bedroom,for example, you will only turn off that keypad’s sounder. Allother keypads on the system will still sound normally.
