Remove the top cover according to Chapter 2 (1.3.1 Removal of top cover).2. If Mezzanine Card (Type 1 and Type 2) for blade is installed, remove it according to Chapter 2 (1.6.3Removal).3. Align the LAN riser card connector located on CPU blade with the connector on LAN riser card, andconnect them slowly and gently. (No screw is used for connection.)Important • Do not touch the pin terminals of the card with your bare hand. Fingerprints anddust left on it causes the CPU blade to malfunction.• Insert the card perpendicularly into the connector. Inserting the card with beinginclined may damage connector pins and/or connectors.• If you have trouble installing the card remove the card once and try again. If youapply excessive pressure on LAN riser card, the card connector might bedamaged.4. Install the components you have removed in earlier steps.5. Install the CPU blade having been removed to the Blade Enclosure according to the User's Guide of theBlade Enclosure.6. Power on the CPU blade, and make sure that no error message related the card appears on the POSTscreen.If any error messages are displayed, refer to Chapter 3 (1. Error Message of POST and Virtual LCD) in"Maintenance Guide".1.9.2 RemovalTo remove LAN riser card, remove the top cover according to Chapter 2 (1.3.1 Removal of top cover), and thenperform steps 2 and 3 in Chapter 2 (1.9.1 Installation) in reverse order.
