11. Before Setting Up Your Projector1-1. Clearance for Installing the Projector (English)Allow ample clearance between the projector and its surroundings as shown below. The high temperature exhaust coming out of the device may be sucked into the device again.Avoid installing the projector in a place where air movement from the HVAC is directed at the projector.Heated air from the HVAC can be taken in by the projector's intake vent. If this happens, the temperature inside theprojector will rise too high causing the over-temperature protector to automatically turn off the projectors power.Intake ventExhaust ventIntake ventIntake vent Exhaust vent Exhaust ventInstallation conditions for the projectorExample 1 – If there are walls on both sides of the projector.60 cm/23.6" or greater 60 cm/23.6" or greaterNOTE:• The drawing shows the proper clearance required for the front, back, and top of the projector.• The above drawing can also be applied to the required clearance between intake vent and the floor for the portrait projection.• See page 115 for an installation example on portrait projection.Example 2 – If there is a wall behind the projector.(1) For floor installation:70 cm/27.6" or greaterLensNOTE:• The drawing shows the proper clearance required for the right, left, and top of the projector.
