Using Voyetra Sound Software 6-5Digital Audio Transport (DAT) ModuleThe DAT module records sound by turning incomingelectrical signals into numbers using a circuit called anAnalog to Digital Converter (ADC) and saves it incomputer memory. To play back the sound, a Digital toAnalog Converter (DAC) changes the data back intoelectrical signals that the audio equipment amplifies anddirects to the speakers or headphones. The data formatcreated by the DAT module is called .WAV files which iscompatible with Windows. To edit .WAV files, follow theseprocedures.1. Click on the Playlist button to open the playlist window.Select the file or files you want to edit. Click on Add toadd the files to the playlist and select OK.2. Click on the Next or Previous File buttons to access theappropriate file.3. Click on the Edit button to activate WinDAT.4. Use the menus at the top of the screen to edit the file asdesired, then save the changed file.MIDI ModuleThe MIDI module plays, edits and records MIDI sequencesand saves them as .MID files. MIDI sequences areorganized series of MIDI commands. To edit MIDI files,follow these procedures.1.
