Messages areclassified into the following three classifications, in the order of urgency: “ERROR”, “WARNING”,“NOTICE”, and “INFO”.Meanings of the messages are as follows: ERROR: Error messageThis message indicates an error that has a critical effect to the functions, and prompt recovery by anadministrator is required. An administrator must troubleshoot and recover the system promptly. WARNING: Warning messageThis message indicates an event that requires attention regarding the system operations, though the eventdoes not necessarily lead to the system down immediately. An administrator must remove the cause ofthe event and take measures to operate the system normally. NOTICE: Notifying messageThis message notifies the state of internal processes. Although the event notified by the message doesnot have any effect on the main functions of the system, an administrator must take appropriate measuresas necessary. INFO: Information messageThis message indicates operating information. No measures are required.
