After parking a call in orbit, a user can Page the person receiving the call andhang up. The paged party can dial a code or press a programmed Park key to pick upthe call. With Park, it is not necessary to locate a person to handle their calls. A callparked for too long recalls the extension that initially parked it, however the callremains in the park orbit until it is answered. There are 64 Park Orbits (1~64)available for use.Extended ParkAn extension Class of Service determines whether it uses the normal Park OrbitRecall time or the Extended Park Orbit Recall time. The times are set in systemprogramming. When an extension with Extended Park Recall Class of Service optionparks a call, it recalls after the Extended Park Orbit Recall time. When an extensionwith the Normal Park Orbit Recall Class of Service option parks a call, it recalls afterthe normal Park Orbit Recall time, however the call remains in the park orbit until it isanswered.Programmable Function Key and Service Code Available for Personal ParkThe Personal Park feature is enhanced by using a Programmable Function Key orservice code (3-digit or 1-digit) to place a call in Personal Park. This option isavailable for multiline terminals, single line sets, and UNIVERGE SV8100 Wirelesstelephones and can be used for analog or ISDN trunks.PC ProgrammingThe UNIVERGE SV8100 has three different methods for programming. The first is viathe handset, the second is by PCPro and third by WebPro.PCPro is a Microsoft Windows based application. It allows the technician/systemadministrator to download a database from the system, make changes, and thenupload.The WebPro application is a web server running on the CD-CP00 blade of thesystem. No special installation program is required. A user programs the systemusing their standard web browser.Power Failure TransferPower Failure Transfer ensures that a customer has access to the Central Officenetwork during a power outage. The CO/PBX tip and ring are automaticallytransferred to a DT3xx or DT7xx multiline terminal with a PSA-L adapter installed.Prime Line SelectionPrime Line Selection allows a multiline terminal user to place or answer a call over aspecific trunk by lifting the handset.
