Bothsides of the conversation are recorded. The adapter output is a 1/8” audio(mono) jack which you can connect directly to an AUX level input on arecorder or page amplifier.Recording a conversation (Handset/Headset/Hands-free), or sendingrecorded calls to a telephone are possible by connecting a cassette recorderto the ADA-L UNIT (voice recording and the playback of a recorded soundfrom a cassette recorder cannot occur at the same time).When installing or removing the adapters, the keyset should be unpluggedfrom the system.Be sure the connected audio device provides a standardAUX level input.The use of monitoring, recording, or listening devices toeavesdrop, monitor, retrieve, or record telephoneconversation or other sound activities, whether or notcontemporaneous with transmission, may be illegal incertain circumstances under federal or state laws. Legaladvice should be sought prior to implementing anypractice that monitors or records any telephoneconversation. Some federal and state laws require someform of notification to all parties to a telephoneconversation, such as using a beep tone or othernotification methods or requiring the consent of all partiesto the telephone conversation, prior to monitoring orrecording the telephone conversation. Some of these lawsincorporate strict penalties.The handset records only when a call is placed oranswered.
