30Recording TV Programmes Make sure that the timer recording indicator TIMER is OFF. If the indicator appears on the Multi-Function Display,press OPERATE once to turn it off. Check that the safety tab on the cassette is in place. If it has been removed, recording will not start. Full AutoPlay will take over instead. Turn the TV on and set the TV channel to VCR output channel 68.1 Insert the video cassette. The cassette-in indicator will appear on the Multi-Function Display. The Multi-Function Display will light up and the channel position, number andthe clock indicator will also appear.Select the desired channel by pressing CURSOR (DD/EE).When recording from another source via AUDIO IN (L/R), VIDEO IN in the rearpanel (AV1) or in the front panel (AV2), select AV mode with AV button. The AVindicator A1 or A2 will appear on the Multi-Function Display and AV1 or AV2 willappear on the TV screen.NOTE: Press AV to select TUNER mode, if you need to record from TUNER mode.AVLONGPLAY2Press LONG PLAY to select the desired tape speed: LP or SP.3R EC/QSRPress REC/QSR to start video and audio recording.The recording indicator REC will appear on the Multi-Function Display.
