11Switching the Oven ON and OFFBefore switching on your oven, you shoulddecide which heating system you wish touse.Switching the oven ON:1. Use the function selector to determinethe desired system.2. Set the temperature control knob to thedesired temperature.❑ The selected temperature will becontrolled automatically.❑ The red oven temperature control lampilluminates when the oven is firstswitched on, and extinguishes when therequired temperature has been reached.Switching the oven OFF:To switch the oven OFF, turn both thetemperature selector and function selectorto the »0« position.Note: After switching OFF the oven, the fanmay continue to run for a short time inorder to prevent heat build-up.BakingUsing baking tins❑ Always place baking tins in the centreof the wire shelf.Circotherm: v❑ You can use baking tins of any materialand of any colour, as long as they areoven-proof.❑ Do not place baking tins or high cakestoo close to the rear oven wall.Conventional heat: e❑ Dark-coloured baking tins made of metalgive the best results.❑ The wire shelf may be turned upsidedown to accommodate different sizetins.❑ If the cake base gets too dark:Check the shelf level. Shorten thebaking time, and possibly use a lowerbaking temperature.❑ If the cake base stays too light:Check the shelf level.
