Do not use a glassscraper, sharp or abrasive cleaning aids ordetergents.Risk of electric shock!■ Incorrect repairs are dangerous. Repairsmay only be carried out by one of ourtrained after-sales engineers. If theappliance is faulty, unplug the mains plugor switch off the fuse in the fuse box.Contact the after-sales service.Risk of electric shock and serious injury!■ The cable insulation on electricalappliances may melt when touching hotparts of the appliance. Never bringelectrical appliance cables into contactwith hot parts of the appliance.Risk of electric shock!■ Do not use any high-pressure cleaners orsteam cleaners, which can result in anelectric shock.Risk of electric shock!■ When replacing the cooking compartmentbulb, the bulb socket contacts are live.Before replacing the bulb, unplug theappliance from the mains or switch off thecircuit breaker in the fuse box.Risk of electric shock!■ A defective appliance may cause electricshock. Never switch on a defectiveappliance. Unplug the appliance from themains or switch off the circuit breaker inthe fuse box. Keep children at asafe distance.Causes of damageCaution!■ Accessories, foil, greaseproof paper or ovenware on thecooking compartment floor: do not place accessories on thecooking compartment floor. Do not cover the cookingcompartment floor with any sort of foil or greaseproof paper.Do not place ovenware on the cooking compartment floor if atemperature of over 50 ºC has been set. This will cause heatto accumulate. The baking and roasting times will no longerbe correct and the enamel will be damaged.■ Water in a hot cooking compartment: do not pour water intothe cooking compartment when it is hot. This will causesteam. The temperature change can cause damage to theenamel.■ Moist food: do not store moist food in the cookingcompartment when it is closed for prolonged periods This willdamage the enamel.■ Fruit juice: when baking particularly juicy fruit pies, do notpack the baking tray too generously. Fruit juice dripping fromthe baking tray leaves stains that cannot be removed. Ifpossible, use the deeper universal pan.■ Cooling with the appliance door open: only allow the cookingcompartment to cool when it is closed. Even if the appliancedoor is only open a little, front panels of adjacent units couldbe damaged over time.■ Very dirty door seal: If the door seal is very dirty, theappliance door will no longer close properly when theappliance is in use. The fronts of adjacent units could bedamaged.Always keep the door seal clean.■ Appliance door as a seat, shelf or worktop: Do not sit on theappliance door, or place or hang anything on it. Do not placeany cookware or accessories on the appliance door.■ Inserting accessories: depending on the appliance model,accessories can scratch the door panel when closing theappliance door. Always insert the accessories into thecooking compartment as far as they will go.■ Carrying the appliance: do not carry or hold the appliance bythe door handle. The door handle cannot support the weightof the appliance and could break.Energy and environment tipsHere you can find tips on how to save energy when baking androasting and how to dispose of your appliance properly.Saving energyOnly preheat the oven if this is specified in the recipe or in theoperating instruction tables.Use dark, black lacquered or enamelled baking tins. Theyabsorb the heat particularly well.Open the appliance door as little as possible during cooking,baking or roasting.It is best to bake several cakes one after the other. The cookingcompartment is still warm. This may reduce the baking time forthe second cake.For longer cooking times, you can switch the oven off10 minutes before the end of the cooking time and use theresidual heat to finish cooking.Environmentally-friendly disposalDispose of packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner.This appliance is labelled in accordance withEuropean Directive 2012/19/EU concerning usedelectrical and electronic appliances (waste electricaland electronic equipment - WEEE).
