It may also be used to assist the user rising from or lowering into a seatedposition, provided a suitable risk assessment is completed. The Transfer Aid Safety Strap is also suitablefor transfers on and off the toilet.Figure 1: Transfer Aid Safety StrapSAFETYWarning: The maximum user weight must not bemore than 155Kg (24st).NRS recommend the user wears the safety strap atall times during transfers.Always perform a risk assessment prior to use.Particularly when using the safety strap to assist theuser when rising or lowering.The user must be able to support their own weightand maintain balance for prolonged periods of time.Do not leave the user unattended when using theproduct.USING THE SAFETY STRAP1. Raising the user:Position the transfer aid in front of the seated userand apply the brakes.Loop one side of the safety strap to the buttonfastener on the handle frame.Note: There are two button fastener heights. Choosethe height which gives the most comfortable straplocation for the user. The strap must be secured tothe button fasteners at the same height on each side.
