INTENDED USEThis wall mounted folding shower seat range, with legs, back and arms is intended to be used in a showerto provide a stable, seated support, where a user is unable to stand for long periods (i.e. during showering).It can be folded up against the wall when not in use.M53370: Chair with Legs, Arms & Back2. SAFETYThis Shower Seat should be correctly installed by asuitably qualified, competent person.Only install the product in an area where the mountingsurface is structurally sound (Strengtheningmodifications to the fixing surface may be required).This product must be secured to the wall usingfasteners which are appropriate to the structuralbase material.DO NOT install in fibreglass / acrylic showerenclosures with insufficient stiffness and strength.The maximum user weight for this product is 160kg(25st) based on the product being fitted to a suitablesurface using appropriate fixings and fitted by acompetent person.Waterproofing is recommended, and all fixings usedshould be non-rusting. Sealant should be appliedaround wall contact points to avoid water ingress.Inspect the product at regular intervals for wear anddamage, do not use if unstable or the rubber feet aredamaged.3. UNPACKINGRemove the packaging and check all parts carefully.Contact your supplier immediately if parts aremissing or damaged and do not try and assemble.4. ASSEMBLY/INSTALLATION4.1 Fitting and Height Adjustment1. Identify the correct height and position for theseat within the shower.Warning: When choosing the position, check thereare no concealed electrical cables or pipe work nearto where the fixing holes are to be drilled.2. Using the e-clips and external leg holes, adjustthe leg extension tubes to the correct height forthe client. For finer adjustment, the legs may beadjusted individually by unscrewing the threadedfeet and locking into position by tightening thenut.3. With the seat in the down position, 90 degreesto the wall, and the legs vertical, with the feet flatand secure to the shower base, mark the fixinghole positions for the wall mounting bracket onthe wall.4. Using appropriate, non-rusting screws andfixings, secure the mounting bracket to the wall.5. Check the seat can be raised and loweredwithout interference, and that the feet aresecurely in contact with the shower base.6. Check seat is firm and secure.
