33Matrix Installation and Operation Instructions9.0 CONTROL SETUPThe Matrix used two devices to control the functions required by the Matrix. The Matrix Boiler Control (red face) controls andensures the safe operation of the boiler functions of the Matrix much the same as the Sentry 2100 does in the Trinity products. TheMatrix Fan Control (blue face) controls all of the operation and safety functions related to air handling and hot water dispatching. The fan controller controls the forced air modulation, ventilation, as well as priority of domestic hot water and secondary heatingsystems.9.1 Controller Displays9.1.1 Matrix Boiler Control (Sentry) Display (Red Face Plate)The Matrix Boiler Control communicates to the user what is happening in the system by using an LED display and a series of LEDindicators.9.1.2 Matrix Fan Control Display (Blue FacePlate)Display DescriptionBurner/Brûleur Indicates that the ignition system isactivatedForced AirDemandIndicates a call for forced air heat –Please note. There may still be a callfor forced air heat even whenthermostat is satisfied (off).Hydronic Demand Indicates a call for hydronic heatDHW Demand Indicates a call for domestic hot waterBoiler Temp When illuminated, display is showingboiler water temperatureBoiler Setpoint When illuminated, display is showingboiler water set pointAir Temp When illuminated, display is showingoutdoor temperatureGas Input ValueWhen illuminated, display is showingcurrent gas input value.
