The LEDs for the sensor can be connected to the DC/DCconverter output or connected to the batteries output. The advantage ofconnecting to the DC/DC converter output is that the system can work ina lower voltage, but the drawback is higher current consumption. Theadvantage of connecting to the batteries output is the lower powerconsumption but the system will not work properly if battery voltage isbelow 2.5 V.1.
