15W415-0794 / D / 05.30.114.4 USING FLEXIBLE VENT COMPONENTSFor safe and proper operation of the appliance, follow the ventinginstructions exactly. All inner flex pipe and outer flex pipe joints may be sealed using hightemperature sealant W573-0002 (not supplied) or the high temperaturesealant W573-0007 Mill Pac (not supplied). However, the high temperaturesealant W573-0007 Mill Pac (not supplied) must be used on the jointconnecting the inner flex pipe and the exhaust flue collar.Use only approved flexible vent pipe kits marked:“Wolf Steel Approved Venting” as identifiedby the stamp only on the outer flex pipe.22.1ELBOWSPACERSDO NOT ALLOW THE INNER FLEX PIPE TO BUNCH UP ON HORIZONTAL OR VERTICAL RUNS AND ELBOWS.KEEP IT PULLED TIGHT.SPACERS ARE ATTACHED TO THE INNER FLEX PIPE AT PREDETERMINED INTERVALS TO MAINTAIN AN EVENAIR GAP TO THE OUTER FLEX PIPE. THIS GAP IS REQUIRED FOR SAFE OPERATION. A SPACER IS REQUIREDAT THE START, MIDDLE AND END OF EACH ELBOW TO ENSURE THIS GAP IS MAINTAINED. THESE SPACERSMUST NOT BE REMOVED.! WARNING4.4.1 HORIZONTAL AIR TERMINAL INSTALLATIONA. Stretch the inner flex pipe to the required length taking intoaccount the additional length needed for the finished wallsurface. Slip the vent pipe a minimum of 2” over the innersleeve of the air terminal and secure with 3 #8 screws. Applya heavy bead of the high temperature sealant W573-0007Mill Pac (not supplied).B. Using the outer flex pipe, slide over the outer combustion airsleeve of the air terminal and secure with 3 #8 screws. Seal usinghigh temperature sealant W573-0002 (not supplied).C. Insert the vent pipes through the firestop maintaining the requiredclearance to combustibles. Holding the air terminal (lettering in an upright, readable position), secure to the exterior wall and makeweather tight by sealing with caulking (not supplied).D. If more vent pipe needs to be used to reach the fireplace, couple them together as illustrated. The vent system mustbe supported approximately every 3 feet for both verticaland horizontal runs.
