Seegeneral maintenance instructions.Burner will not light with theigniter, but will light with amatch.Dead battery / or installed incorrectly.Loose electrode wire or switch terminalwires.Wrong replacement igniter.Improper gap at electrode tip.Replace with heavy duty battery.Check that electrode wire is firmly pushedonto the terminal on the back of the igniter.Check that the lead wires from the moduleto the ignition switch (if equipped) are firmlypushed onto their respective terminals.One spark systems must use a one sparkigniter.Ensure that the collector box is tight andthe gap between the electrode end and thecollector box is between 1/8” - 3/16” (3mm-5mm). The gap can be adjusted by bendingthe box in or out.Humming regulator. Normal occurrence on hot days. This is not a defect. It is caused by internalvibrations in the regulator and does notaffect the performance or safety of thegas grill. Humming regulators will not bereplaced.Burners will not cross lighteach other.Plugged ports along back of burner. Clean burner ports. See burner maintenanceinstructions.“Paint” appears to be peelinginside lid or hood.Grease build-up on inside surfaces. This is not a defect. The finish on the lidand hood is porcelain, and will not peel.The peeling is caused by hardened grease,which dries into paint-like shards, that flakeoff. Regular cleaning will prevent this.
