Only a qualifi ed person should service and repairthis electric appliance.! WARNINGHARD-WIRING CONNECTIONIt is necessary to hard-wire this appliance. A qualified electrician must wire the appliance directly to the householdwiring. The wire and power supply breaker must be rated for 120V, minimum 15 amps.This appliance must be electrically wired and grounded in accordance with local codes or, in the absence of localcodes, with the latest edition of the National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA 70 in the United States or the CanadianElectrical Code CSA C22.1 in Canada.4.4 installation preparation1. Locate the desired 14/2 or 14/3 wire conductors to the top right side of the enclosure for the hard-wiringinstallation based on the desired 120V or 240V heat output capability.2. Remove the junction box cover.3. Place the appliance into the rough-in framing, inserting it far enough into the enclosure to locate the supplywires to the terminal block.4. Insert the supply wires through the junction box cover plate with the strain relief (supplied) (Fig. 4-1) andlocate the wires to the specified terminal block location based on desired voltage selection.4.4.1 120V hard-wiring1. Ensure the jumper wires (supplied) join terminals 13 to 16, and 14 to 15.2. Install the ground/bond wire to terminal 22, and L1 to terminal 12.3. Insert the supply neutral into terminal 19, then jump it over to terminal 11 with the jumper wire (supplied) (Fig.4-1 and 4-2).4.
