If unshielded cables or accessories are not properly installed and shielded, theEMC specifications for the product are no longer guaranteed.The 100-pin high-density SCSI connector on the NI 6509 provides access to 96 digital inputsand outputs. Use this connector to connect to external devices, such as solid-state relays (SSRs)and LEDs. For easy connection to the digital I/O connector, use the SH100-100-F shieldeddigital I/O cable with the SCB-100 connector block, or use the R1005050 ribbon cable with theCB-50 or CB-50LP connector block.Caution Do not make connections to the digital I/O that exceed the maximum I/Ospecifications. Doing so may permanently damage the NI 6509 device and thecomputer.
