User Manual MobileNavigator 6- 24 - Starting MobileNavigator 6As soon as the data is being received from at least 3 satellites,the GPS icon changes to GPS ready.Note: If the GPS icon displays GPS ready after considerably lessthan 20 minutes, then it is best to switch off the receiver for atleast 15 minutes so as to guarantee a reliable operation of thereceiver.Attention: If you have connected the navigation device to thepower supply via a cigarette lighter, then remove the connectorbefore you leave the vehicle standing for a long period of time.The GPS receiver needs constant power, so it could run down thevehicle´s battery.4.2.2 Main windowYou can access all the functions of the navigation software fromthe MAIN WINDOW.Options of the main windowWhile the MAIN WINDOW is visible, tap on the Options button, inorder to open a list with the following options:Option DescriptionRoute planningOpens the R OUTE PLANNING window. Hereyou can plan routes, administer plannedroutes and start navigating to a plannedroute.Refer to chapter "Routes with stages" onpage 45 for more information.SettingsOpens the S ETTINGS window. Here you canconfigure the navigation system.Refer to chapter "Configuring1290HMobileNavigator 6" on page 79 formore information.Show MapOpen the map in Destination searchmode. Here you can specify a navigationdestination directly on the map.Refer to chapter "Defining destinations onthe map" on page 36 for more information.GPS statusOpens the GPS STATUS window. Here youcan see details regarding the GPS reception.You can also save data regarding the currentlocation.Refer to chapter "GPS status" on page 68 formore information.MP3 playerLaunches the integrated MP3 player of yournavigation device. If you close the MP3player, MobileNavigator 6 appears again.The MP3 player remains on during anavigation instruction.
