Please follow thistroubleshooting section before contacting thenearest NAVMAN dealer.There are no user serviceable parts. Specializedmethods and testing equipment are required toensure that the unit is reassembled correctly and iswaterproof. Repairs to the unit must only be carriedout by a service centre approved by Navman NZLimited. Users who service the unit themselves willvoid the warranty.More information can be found on our Website:www.navman.com.1 Unit will not turn on:a Fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped.b Battery voltage is outside the range 10.5 to16.5 V DC.c Power/data cable damaged.2 Speed reading wrong or erratic:a Calibration is incorrect (see section 3-7).b Speed transducer cable unplugged ordamaged.c Speed/temperature transducer fouled ordamaged. Check paddlewheel is alignedfore and aft in the fitting. Removepaddlewheel from fitting, check for foulingor damage. Spin paddlewheel by hand,check for a speed reading.d Speed transducer installed incorrectly ortransducer does not have a smooth flow ofclear water over it. Review installation.e Interference from electrical noise. Reviewinstallation.3 Temperature reading wrong:a Calibration is incorrect (see section 5-2).b Speed/temperature transducer cabledamaged.4 The word SIMULATE flashes at top, left ofscreen, values displayed are unexpected:a Unit is in simulate mode (see section 2-4).5 The display fogs:a Moist air has entered the breathing tube atthe rear of the unit. Air the boat or run unitwith backlight fully on.b Water has entered the breathing tube.Return unit for service.
