You install NCSA Telnet by simply dragging the application from the CD to your hard disk.Connecting a Console Cable to Your DeviceYou can perform all of the system configuration activities for your Netopia 4753 through a local serial consoleconnection using terminal emulation software, such as HyperTerminal provided with Windows 95, 98, 2000, orNT on the PC, or ZTerm for Classic MacOS or MacOSX, included on the Netopia CD, for Macintosh computers.The Netopia 4753 back panel has a connector labeled “Console” for attaching the Router to either a PC orMacintosh computer via the serial port on the computer. (On a Macintosh computer, the serial port is called theModem port or Printer port.) A mini-DIN8 or a USB connector end attaches to a Macintosh computer depending on your computer’sserial bus type.
