Before you get started,make sure there is adequate table space for the printing system, including full clearance for the railsystem’s extended position. The base plate measures 16”x31” and requires an additional 18” ofclearance on the right side. Make sure you are near a power outlet, keeping in mind that both theprinter and the Tower require power. If printing over a network, make sure there is a network outlet forthe printer and the computer. Continuous label printing is not supported over a wireless network.STOP AND CHECK• Adequate Table Space: Minimum 18” deep x 36” wide with extra clearance onthe right side, plus any space you will need to set up a computer.• Power Outlets: For printer and Tower.• Network Connection: If needed.Set Up the System:STEP 1. Place Base Plate on the table or desk where the printing system will reside.• Position the Base Plate so the Tower is installed on the right side.• Be sure rails glide smoothly and are not obstructed.SETP 2. Attach the Tower to the Base Plate using the included screws and a Philips screwdriver. Theholes in the Tower base will insert into standoffs on the Base Plate for alignment.STEP 3. Place the Datum Guide on the back rail with the round spacer closer to the back. The Datum is asmall black guide that attaches to the rails and slides into a slot on the bottom of the printer.STEP 4. Place 300x Printer on the rails, making sure the Datum Guide inserts into the printer slot. Twopeople may be needed to properly lift and position the printer. When properly set up, theprinter will fit snuggly on the rails and will be held in place by the Datum.
