LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONSDo not attempt to light the grill if odor of gas ispresent. Call for service 1-800-913-8999.WARNING: IMPORTANT!BEFORE LIGHTING…these conditions exist call our customer serviceline. If the flame is yellow, it indicates insufficientair. If the flame is noisy and tends to lift awayfrom the burner, it indicates too much air.TO MATCH LIGHT THE GRILL:If the burner will not light after several attemptsthen the burner can be match lit.If you’ve just attempted to light the burner withthe igniter, allow 5 minutes for any accumulatedgas to dissipate. Keep your face and hands asfar away from the grill as possible. Insert a litextended match or lighter through the cookinggrids to the burner. Press the control knob androtate left to the HI setting, continue to press theknob until the burner ignites. Burner should lightimmediately. If the burner does not light in 4seconds turn the knob off, wait 5 minutes and tryagain.TO LIGHT THE ROTISSERIE BURNER:Open the lid; push the knob for about 5 secondswithout rotating. This will allow time for the gas toflow into the rear burner. Continue pushing for 5seconds then turn the knob to the HI position,then press the igniter button to light the rotisserieburner. If the burner does not light, turn thecontrol knob to “OFF”. If the igniter does notfunction, follow the instruction above for matchlighting.Inspect the gas supply hose prior to turning thegas “ON”. If there is evidence of cuts, wear, orabrasion, it must be replaced prior to use. Do notuse the grill if the odor of gas is present. Only thepressure regulator and hose assembly suppliedwith the unit should be used. Never substituteregulators for those supplied with the grill. If areplacement is necessary, contact the factory forproper replacement.Screw the regulator (type QCC1) onto the tank.Leak check the hose and regulator connectionswith a soap and water solution before operatingthe grillTO LIGHT THE GRILL BURNER:Make sure all knobs are “OFF” then turn on thegas supply from the LP tank. Always keep yourface and body as far from the grill as possiblewhen lighting.Your grill has an exclusive patented built-inignition. The igniter is built in to the valve. Toignite each burner simply push and turn thecontrol knobs to the HI setting, you will hear thevalve click as it sends a spark to the pilot flame. Ifthe burner does not light, wait 5 minutes for anyexcess gas to dissipate and then retry.Flame CharacteristicsCheck for proper burner flame characteristics.Each burner is adjusted prior to shipment;however, variations in the local gas supply maytake minor adjustments necessary.Burner flames should be blue and stable with noyellow tips, excessive noise, or lifting.
