Install batteriescorrectly according to the polarity diagrams insidethe battery compartment and replace the cover.Remove and store batteries when the device is notin use.Power and IR Control (fig. 1.7)Powering up and adjusting IR intensity can becontrolled by turning the switch located at the backof the device housing (fig. 1.7). Rotate the switch tothe right. The switch will produce a tactile clickwhen powering on and off.To activate the IR and adjust IR brightness simplycontinue to rotate the power switch to the right untilit cannot be rotated any further.Turn off the IR Illumination by rotating the switch tothe left - back towards the off position until it cannotbe rotated any further.Power off by rotating the switch to the left until thereis a tactile click.Diopter Focus (fig. 1.5)For the best possible user experience diopteradjustment must be made.Holding the monocular up to your eye with thepower on, rotate the eyepiece (fig. 1.5) until theedges of the LED display become sharp.Objective Focus (fig. 1.2)Holding the monocular up to your eye with thepower on, rotate the front objective lens (fig. 1.2)until the image in the field of view becomes sharp.Ensure that the subject is at least 3 feet away.Focus will require adjustment depending on thedistance of the subject.For the best possible user experience keep theobjective lens clean and free of lint, oil or dirt. Thelens can be cleaned with a clean dry lint-free cloth.For dried or stuck-on dirt use a lightly moistenedlint-free cloth can be used with clean water or aglass / lens cleaning solution.Accessories (fig. 1.4)The Digital Sentry comes with a head / helmetmount adapter and a weapon mount adapter.To mount the accessory adapters, line up thescrew hole with the screw and tighten. Be carefulnot to cross-thread the screw. - If the screwbecomes tight but the mount is still loose, it is notproperly mounted. Loosen and realign.When properly installed there should be no freeplay between the mount accessory and themonocular housing.Maintenance and StorageStore in a cool dry place with batteries removedDo not submerge or allow to get excessively wet.Clean with dry lint-free or lightly moistened cloth.TroubleshootingAny problem that cannot be corrected by followingthe instructions above may require that youcontact a Night Optics representative for support.Monday - Friday / 8am - 3:30pm PST.
