To prevent damageDO NOT cover or place next to any potentially fl ammablematerials while in use.y Do not leave the battery in direct sunlight or use or storethe battery inside cars in hot weather.y Do not expose the battery to water or salt water, or allowthe battery to get wet.y Do not store the battery with metallic objects that maycause a short circuit.y Immediately discontinue use of the battery if the batteryemits an unusual smell, feels hot, changes color, changesshape or appears abnormal in any way.y Keep out of the reach of children.STROBE WARNINGExposure to strobing lights may cause dizziness,disorientation, and nausea. Anyone who has had symptoms linked to this conditionshould consult a doctor before using this product.INITIAL USEFully charge the USB-558XL before the fi rst use, or if thebattery is new or has been unused for several months. Themaximum charge time required is approximately 6 hours.CHARGING THE LIGHTThe Micro USB Charging Port is inside of the rotatingsleeve located below the head of the light.Open Rotating Sleevey Expose the Micro USB Charging Port by twisting thesleeve and rotating it to the left.y Continue rotating the sleeve and slide it downward onthe handle.Plug into USB port to chargeThe light ships with a Micro USB to USB Charging Cable.It can be charged using any of the following methods:y USB Port on a computer (NOTE: Charging times varydepending on the computer)y USB port in vehiclesy USB Vehicle charger for cigarette lighter port (notincluded)y USB Compliant AC to DC USB wall charger similar toones used with most Cell Phones (not included)The typical charge time is approximately 3 hours. Actualtime may vary depending on the remaining charge in thebattery and method of charging. Ambient temperature canalso effect charging time.The charge indicator light located directly above thecharging port will turn red while the charging and green whenfully charged.Close Rotating Sleevey Cover the Micro USB Charging Port by twisting thesleeve and rotating it to the right.y Continue rotating the sleeve and slide it upward on thehandle.WARNING: When the Rotating Sleeve is open, the light isno longer IP-X7 WaterproofOPERATIONThe USB-558XL has fi ve light modes: momentaryfl ashlight, full brightness fl ashlight, medium brightnessfl ashlight, low brightness fl ashlight and strobe. The light hasa single tail switch providing access to all modes.MOMENTARY FLASHLIGHT MODELightly press the tail switch for momentary operation.Release the switch to turn the light off.CONSTANT-ONPress the tail switch until it clicks and then release forconstant-on in high-brightness mode. Press and release thetail switch again to turn the light off.SELECT BRIGHTNESS LEVELPress and hold down the tail switch. The light will cyclefrom high to medium to low and then back up again at arate of approximately one mode per second. The light willcontinue to cycle up and down through the various modesas long as the tail switch is held down. When the desiredbrightness level is reached, simply release the tail switch,and the light will remain in that brightness mode. Pressingand holding the tail switch again will cause the light to cyclefrom whatever mode it is currently in. Press and release thetail switch to turn the light off.
