Notes on close-up photography and duplication workCamera shakeThe AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED provides such exceptionally highimage magnification that even the slightest movement during shooting can cause theimage to blur. Be sure to mount the camera on a tripod and use a cable release orremote cord to release the shutter.Close working distanceAt the high reproduction ratios used in close-up shooting, the depth of field is veryshallow. To ensure greater depth of field, stop down the lens, then carefully positionthe camera to ensure the most important surface of the subject is in the same zone ofsharp focus.• Use manual focus when using the close-up lens.7.
