61Shooting FeaturesThe focus area varies depending on the shooting mode.Using Target Finding AFWhen AF area mode (A56) in A (auto) mode is set to Target finding AF,the camera focuses in the manner described below.• When the camera detects the main subject, ayellow border (focus area) is displayedaround it. If a human face is detected, thecamera automatically sets focus priority on it.When you press the shutter-release buttonhalfway, the focus area that is in focus glowsgreen.• If no main subject is detected, the cameraautomatically selects one or more of the 9focus areas containing the subject closest tothe camera when you press the shutter-release button halfway.
