53Shooting FeaturesSmart Portrait Mode (Capturing Images of Smiling Faces)When the camera detects a smiling face, you can take an image automatically withoutpressing the shutter-release button (smile timer). You can use the skin softening option tosmooth the skin tones of human faces.1 Frame the image.• Point the camera at a human face. See “Using Face Detection” (A73) for more information.2 Without pressing the shutter-release button, wait for the subject tosmile.• If the camera detects that the face framed by the double border is smiling, the shutter isautomatically released.
